Patrols – keeping the beach safe
Every weekend and public holiday through the season, patrols monitor the beach and keep swimmers out of trouble. Patrol members are all volunteers who have a range of skills such as advanced first aid, radio operation, defib, spinal management and rescue boat operation. And, of course, strong swimming and handling emergency situations.

Lifesaving Update Report
Defibrillation & Children (1-8yrs)
Surf Life Saving Australia has recently reviewed the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) on children aged between 1yr and 8yrs old.

Rescue of the Month Program
Each month during summer a “Rescue of the Month”will be available to be selected at both Branch and State level for the most outstanding rescue for that period. Please see attached for criteria and application.
