Umina Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) is a well respected and socially conscious organisation. Established in 1959, it has been providing voluntary surf life-saving services to the community for 60 years.
During this time, the population of the Central Coast has grown significantly, as has the popularity of Umina as a tourist destination with an estimated 180,000 plus visits to the beach during the 2020/2021 patrol season.

The Umina SLSC as it operates today is a very broad organisation with a diverse membership carrying out a variety of functions on a volunteer basis for the local community. This is a quick snapshot of some of the key duties carried out by the volunteer life savers throughout the 2020/21 season.
