The Next Step-Bronze Surf Lifesaver

Surf Life Saving has a role for everyone. In the water, on the sand or at the surf club – whatever your skills and interests there’s a place for you.

Surf Rescue Certificate to Bronze Medallion Courses

These SRC-BM courses are fast track over 3-5 days and are suited to existing active Surf Rescue Certificate lifesavers who are looking to upgrade to the Bronze Medallion.

Umina SLSC run these courses two to three times a year based on demand.

  • October over the long weekend
  • December during the Christmas break

Course Dates-8am-2pm

  • 27th – 30th December 2024
  • 6th – 10th of January 2025
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Financial Member
  • Minimum Age of 15 years (Membership Category -Active 15-18yrs)
  • Complete an unaided swim of 400 m in 9 minutes or less (goggles and masks permitted) in a swimming pool of not less than 25 m, or over a measured open water course which will be observed before participating in any aquatic training.
