Umina Surf Club member Garry Mensforth receives Life Membership with Surf Life Saving Central Coast.

We are proud that our very own Garry Mensforth has been recognised for his efforts in Surf Lifesaving as SLSCC’s newest Life Member.

Garry obtained his Bronze Life Saving award some 45yrs ago and has continued to be involved in the Surf Life Saving movement, having receive 20yr National Patrol Award and 40yrs Long Service Award.  Garry continues to patrol at Umina Beach through the surf season and has held various positions within the club receiving Life Membership at Umina Surf Life Saving Club in 2016.

One of Garry’s major roles was being on the Organising Committee for the joint Venture between Umina and Ocean Beach NSW Surf Life Saving State Titles held at our venture for 4 years.  Garry has also held numerous roles within Surf Life Saving at Branch being on various Sport and Finance committees for the past 20yrs, New South Wales various Sports Committee roles including selector for the past 10yrs and Australian Team Manager and selector for the past 10yrs.

Garry embodies everything that the Surf Life Saving movement stands for and all in a voluntary capacity with his wife Deborah son Christopher and daughter Jessica all involved in the surf life saving movement.
