United Petroleum Coaching day held on the 15th October 2022.

The day was held in fine weather, the water quality was passable and approved by council to proceed.

We had 23 kids in attendance for the day.

Trevor Gee and Steve Murphy were the coaches for the day with Trevor taking the more advanced kids and Murph taking the kids that were trying gain additional time in the water.

We had 3 sessions, the first was a session around the how the day was going to be run, I gave an overview of the club history and some folklore about how the club started and I spoke about the values that the club holds and finally that out coaching programs as always are for everyone, goal setting will be discussed after the water sessions.

The second session was a fun session followed by a training session 1 ½ hours.

BBQ lunch was supplied by me and cooked by Bobby Langford, videos of our competitors winning State and Australian titles were shown.

The 3rd session was an eliminator board race that went for around 40 mins, the kids loved it, followed by a small debrief with carnival dates and goal sheets being handed out.

I would like to thanks the mums and dads that allowed their kids to attend, the age managers for the encouragement and chasing up of the kids, the water safety guys/girls and of course Trevor and Murph.
